About The Major

Community Health will prepare students to work in entry-level positions in public health agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), hospitals, health care centers, and other organizations. They focus on the health and well-being of groups of people and individuals. These professionals often focus on health education and illness prevention.

Skills and abilities this major develops includes: research, teamwork and leadership, cultural competency, communication skills, ethical decision-making, ability to analyze and evaluate, and knowledge of local and global healthcare systems.
