What You Can Expect
Visit the Indiana Statehouse to learn more about careers in public service and government. You will have the opportunity to visit the Senate Chamber, speak with legislative staff, and speak with the intern recruiters from both the House and Senate. There will be time for questions and answers, as well as networking!
Forensic Science Labs
Come and learn more about how to make your CSI or forensic science analyst dreams come true with a degree in forensic and investigative sciences! Forensic science can open the door to so many career paths including the FBI, CDC, research, law enforcement, physician assistant, pathology, law, and many more. Come talk to the FIS advisor and find out about the major and see the labs!
Fall Career Week Virtual: Beyond Criminal Minds O'Neill Panel
Is your dream career working for an organization like the FBI? Do you binge watch shows like Criminal Minds and Unsolved Mysteries? This panel is for you! Join us for a conversation with professionals from agencies like the FBI, DEA, ATF, and other organizations who will share their career experience and give insight into the world of government agency work.
Ascend Indiana is a nonprofit dedicated to helping college students and recent graduates find jobs and internships across the state of Indiana. Through partnerships with over 500 Indiana employers, Ascend provides students with a career mentor to serve as a resource and guide in the search and a tech-enabled platform, called the Ascend Network, that provides access to hundreds of early-in-career opportunities.
National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS)
Interested in a career in health? The National Institute for Fitness and Sport is dedicated to enhancing human health, physical fitness, and athletic performance through research, education, and service for people of all ages and abilities. The NIFS mission is carried out through a variety of departments, including Athletic Performance, Corporate Fitness Management, Educational Services, Fitness Center and Youth Development.

|October 29||Behind the Scenes of Medical Research Labs: Career Paths in Clinical and Translational Research||10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.|
The focus of this field trip will be on how anatomy laboratories shape biomedical research and education. A brief tour of the medical school anatomy lab will focus on key aspects that are utilized for teaching both medical and professional students. Faculty members will then highlight how the gross anatomy, and those who donate their bodies, play a key role in research aimed at understanding aspects of human learning/development, evolution, and human health.

The Indiana Department of Health’s (IDOH) Epidemiology Research Center's (ERC) mission is to protect the health of Hoosiers through surveillance, investigation, education, and collaboration. During this trip, you will learn more about IDOH, what public health is, and the programs and divisions that make up the department, as well as ERC’s role among them.
