School of Informatics and Computing

The focus of the media arts and science program is on creativity and digital storytelling while enhancing contemporary career-building skills. Our program offers education and experience on various integrated media venues in today’s convergent society. We strive to produce dynamic websites, smartphone apps, interactive education, serious and entertaining games and simulations, 3D motion graphics, digital illustrations and animations, audio, and video.

Admission by Certification

Students must complete at least 12 credit hours of nonremedial courses with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and pass NEWM-N 100 with a B– or higher.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Cluster

This major belongs to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Cluster. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) cluster in the Office of Academic and Career Development, is the academic home of University College students pursuing majors in the sciences, engineering, technology, informatics, and computing.  The STEM cluster partners with students on their academic advising and career plans prior that guide them into their degree granting school.
