The mechanical engineering technology program at IUPUI places an emphasis on putting knowledge into action. Students become skilled in the generation, transmission, and utilization of mechanical and fluid energy, as well as the design and production of tools, materials, and machines and their products.

Get admitted to the School of Engineering and Technology

Admission by certification
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Complete ENG-W 131
  • Be ready to go into MATH 15300 (complete prerequisites or place into via placement test)

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Cluster

This major belongs to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) cluster. The STEM cluster is the academic home of University College students pursuing majors in the sciences, technology, engineering, informatics, and computing. The STEM cluster partners with students on their academic advising and career plans to guide them into their degree-granting schools.
