School of Science

This program has been developed in collaboration with several local biotechnology industries to ensure relevance and appropriateness of the educational training program content. The program includes an extensive industrial internship that, along with the basic and applied courses in biotechnology, meet industrial objectives for preparation for positions in the biotechnology industry.

Admission Requirements for Biotechnology

  • Students must complete biotech courses at Ivy Tech and have these courses transferred to their IUPUI record for admission consideration. All courses not required, but evidence of admission into the Ivy Tech program and some BITN coursework completed. Only grades of C or higher are transferrable.
  • Students must submit an application to the School of Science office, LD 222.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Cluster

This major belongs to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) cluster. The STEM cluster is the academic home of University College students pursuing majors in the sciences, technology, engineering, informatics, and computing. The STEM cluster partners with students on their academic advising and career plans to guide them into their degree-granting schools.
