Interior design improves the function and quality of interior spaces. Interior designers collaborate with professionals in the architectural, construction, mechanical, and electrical trades. In the major, your training will focus on the design process, aesthetics, and space utilization.
Other important concepts of the program include knowledge of building codes, as well as an understanding of laws and standards for interior products. Both a two-year associate of science and four-year bachelor of science degrees are offered.
