Professional Experience: I have been working in ACD since January of 2018. I love working with students in higher education. I feel very fortunate to walk alongside students during such a formidable time in their lives. I also love serving on such a collaborative and innovative team that encourages growth and exploration. Prior to working at IUPUI, I worked for a humanitarian aid organization where I designed sustainable aid programs for orphanages in Nicaragua and DR Congo. I have experience working in the nonprofit sector through community mental health organizations, global NGOs, and AmeriCorp.

Advice to students: Take this time to explore everything you can; take classes that peak your interest, join clubs, make new friends, and ask questions. There are very few times in your life where you will have so many resources and knowledge at your fingertips—take advantage of it and learn everything you can!

If I could be any major in my cluster, what would it be? Why? If I could be any major in my cluster, I would study psychology. It is such an interesting field and the practice informs so much of our daily life. Psychology is something I wish I would have pursued as an undergraduate student.

Biography: I was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, and lived at the Grand Canyon for a few years before moving with my family to Richmond, Virginia. We were there for a short time prior to settling in Michigan. I spent the majority of my childhood and teenage years living in South Haven, Michigan, which is a beautiful little coastal town on Lake Michigan. I moved to Indiana in 2008 for my undergrad, and when I graduated from Anderson University, I moved to the Bay Area in California where I lived for a year.

I now reside here, in Indianapolis, with my husband and our 2.5 cats. I love cooking/baking, reading, hiking, gardening, beekeeping, music, and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy exploring and traveling quite a bit. My goal is to travel to all of the continents (I have been to 3/7). I love working with people and helping them figure out who they are and what they want to accomplish.
